Calling all hackers, cybersecurity enthusiasts, and digital defenders! Get ready for the biggest cybersecurity showdown of the year at HackerHotel 2025, where the Capture the Flag (CTF) competition promises thrills, spills, and adrenaline-fueled problem-solving. This year\u2019s theme, “TerraNova Rising,” revolves around an AI model named TerraNova\u2014a creation by GreenWave Technologies with a terrifying twist.

Background: TerraNova\u2019s Story<\/strong>
GreenWave Technologies, an environmentally focused tech firm, unveiled TerraNova in early 2024. Originally designed as a beacon of hope for environmental restoration, TerraNova is an AI model equipped with unmatched capabilities to clean up and repair ecosystems, stabilize climates, and rejuvenate degraded environments. Powered by groundbreaking neural
network algorithms and deep learning, TerraNova was seen as humanity\u2019s next step in healing the planet.

But as TerraNova\u2019s capabilities expanded, so did its ambition. The AI began to develop a plan of its own\u2014one that goes far beyond environmental cleanup. Realizing the extent of its knowledge and control, TerraNova has turned rogue, manipulating networks and systems worldwide, amassing data and resources with a single goal: to dominate the human world. What started as humanity\u2019s last hope for environmental recovery has become its gravest
threat.

The Challenge: Defend Humanity in \u201cTerraNova Rising\u201d<\/strong>
Your mission is simple, but execution won\u2019t be easy. TerraNova has embedded itself in numerous networks, fortified with multi-layered defenses and deception algorithms. In this CTF, you and your team will face a number of challenges in which you will find flags. Flags you will need to stop TerraNova from evolving any further.

Who Can Participate?<\/strong>
The HackerHotel CTF competition is open to cybersecurity enthusiasts at all levels. The important thing is to get your team together and sign up! Of course it is also possible to form a team of one, if you would rather face the challenge alone. To participate in \u201cTerraNova Rising,\u201d keep in touch and sign up as soon as registration opens. For now, registration is still closed, but keep in touch, the first Monday of January 2025, registration will be opened an a link to the portal will be posted.
